| Day 1: upon arrival at the Cuyabeno bridge (or Lago Agrio if you fly in) your guide will meet you to transport you by motorized canoe to your camp, the Cuyabeno River Lodge. lunch and initial jungle walk. dinner and sleep. | ||
| Day 2: after breakfast you can either go to the lakes or visit the Tarapuy community to participate in the preparation of the traditional dish casabe. during this journey you can observe different species of monkeys, as well as many other animals (hoatzin, guacamayo, etc.). after a boxed lunch, return to the camp via the laguna grande in which you can take a refreshing swim and watch the sunset. return for supper and relaxation. | ||
| Day 3: after breakfast you leave in quillas (small native canoes) to visit two lakes where you can take pictures of many birds and animals. later you can take a swim before returning to the camp for lunch. after supper, you can go on a nocturnal caiman watching ride. | ||
| Day 4: after breakfast, hike through the forest where your guides will share their extensive knowledge regarding the jungle flora and faunae. you will be able to see various animal tracks (tapir, armadillo, paca, puma, etc.). | ||
| Day 5: breakfast very early in the morning. you can then choose the activity that you enjoyed most during the previous five days and experience it again (hiking, fishing, canoe ride, etc.). lunch before taking the bus back to Quito. | ||
