Cotopaxi National Park

Travel the Avenue of volcanoes to the base of mighty Cotopaxi, rich in wildflowers, like the rare chuquirahua insignis, emblem of mountain climbers, and birds such as the graceful Andean lapwing and the elusive Carunculated caracara. Includes on-site museum and hearty picnic lunch. Wather-permitting, an ascent to tundra just below the glaciers is possible
