This
is a trip for tourists looking for excitement and an adrenaline-filled
experience. We recommend this tour for someone who has
had previous experience with rafting or similar sports.
We descend through demanding rapids that require a high
level of motivation and determination.
We will launch our raft below the Tulquizan suspension
bridge (30 minutes from Ibarra on the Lita highway, passing
Salina) and continue to the Coambo bridge.
Duration of rafting: 1.5 to 2 hours depending on river
conditions

CHOTA
RIVER (class II – II+)This
tour is recommended for someone looking for a calmer rafting
trip of moderate difficulty. It is a wonderful opportunity
for beginners to experience rafting while enjoying the
beautiful scenery that the Chota Valley in Northern Ecuador
offers. This is an exciting option with a low risk level
and is appropriate for people 12 years of age and up and
for families, students, or anyone looking for a relaxing
experience.
Ambuqui-Chota region
Duration of rafting: 40 minutes to 1 hour depending on
river conditions

In Ibarra we will
board the train that will take us on a spectacular ride.
The first stage of the journey provides spectacular
views of local seasonal crops, such as sugar cane, cultivated
in the valley. After passing through many tunnels and
narrow passageways, we will arrive in the desert-like
Chota valley. After approximately three hours on the
train, we will get off for lunch and begin our white-water
rafting tour.
